About This Compound
Bacteriostatic Water (0.9% Benzyl Alcohol) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic preparation of water for injection containing 0.9% (v/v) benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is the standard diluent for reconstituting lyophilized peptide compounds in research applications. The benzyl alcohol inhibits bacterial growth, allowing multi-dose use of reconstituted compounds.
